My client, a group of companies in the agricultural industry based in Stellenbosch has a position available for an ambitious Marketing Assist to join their team. The successful candidate will have a relevant qualification and marketing / project management experience. Job description:

To assist the Marketing team with the day-to-day responsibilities of running the Marketing Department and executing strategic campaigns driven by the marketing strategy on-time and within budget.

My client is looking for an ambitious and competent Marketing Assistant who will be responsible for developing, implementing, and executing marketing initiatives and activities for all the brands associated with the company

Including:

  • Working within budgets
  • Assist in Direct Marketing initiatives
  • Assist in Brand building initiatives
  • Assist in registration of clients of the the company’s application
  • Organising internal and external wellness and teambuilding events
  • Assist in developing and executing promotional initiatives
  • Liaise with and brief external agencies, ensuring all processes are adhered to
  • Developing innovative campaigns

Coordinate mailing distribution

  • Briefing and communicating to stakeholders (Internal and External)
  • Measure and report brand performance and all marketing campaigns, assessing measures against goals and providing insights for improvement
  • Administrative tasks

Requirements:

  • Min: Diploma/Degree in Marketing/Communications/Project Management related field
  • Min 1 year post qualification experience in project management, organisational or marketing experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholder
  • Strong project management and coordination skills
  • Strong numerical skills with good attention to detail and ability to manage campaign budgets
  • Ability to think creatively and to apply brand principles
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure, manage several priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong understanding of new technologies and how these can be applied to marketing
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently when necessary
  • Positive, energetic & a team player
