Vacancy Details

Key Responsibilities will include:       

• Performing basic lifting tasks with the aid of a crane chaser and transport all solid and molten materials using the Converter Aisle cranes.
• Assisting in maintenance lifting tasks when needed.
• Operating equipment for which he has been trained and certificated.
• Ensuring that shift production targets are met, and that plant/equipment is utilized effectively.
• Performing housekeeping tasks.
• Maintaining safe working conditions and promoting good housekeeping.
• Daily inspections on the Wolff crane are done and defects reported and attended to.
• Compliance to SHEQ standard.
• Candidate Requirements

Intrinsic Qualities:

• Good working knowledge of the core process in the designated area of responsibility.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Safety conscious.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Cab Controlled Overhead Crane License.
• Basic Rigging License.
• 2 years overhead crane operations experience.
